OU Public Health | Fall 2018 8 HUDSON FELLOWS Fellowships Foster the Future The Hudson Fellows in Public Health program, now in its 4th year, awards fellowships to gifted graduate students who are training at the highest levels of their disciplines at the OU Hudson College of Public Health. These doctoral students are the scientists of the future, researching the critical, mainly upstream, causes of poor health in a population. These critical public health issues include tobacco use prevention, reducing the incidence of obesity, and target- ing environmental, social and economic determinants of health. “The work of these scholars will lead to the development of better public health for people and communities,” said Dean Gary Raskob.
