It paired her longstanding inter- est in nutrition, the life sciences and public health with another passion – education. “It’s the interest and passion I have for our students, a hope of health and wellness for our communities, and a strongly embedded work ethic that helps in my daily activities,” Genzer explained. “I believe an education opens doors and provides more and better op- tions for those who choose that path. If I can play a role in help- ing make that happen, no mat- ter how small, then that’s a plus in my book.” Genzer works in the Office of Student Services and Academic Affairs at the College where she oversees information manage- ment of the integrative practices forthreedegreeprograms, serves as administrator for the campus learning management system at the College, and manages its course evaluations, among other duties. Born in Texas, Genzer’s family moved to Oklahoma City in the 1970s, leaving a large family be- hind. She moved back to Texas for a while, but then returned to Oklahoma to be close to her father when his health declined.
